Mytech Partners 2 of 5 checks
Managed and co-managed IT, security assessments and Microsoft 365 work, with a San Antonio office.
Mytech Partners Overview
Mytech Partners is a managed IT provider that says it began in October 2000 in Minnesota. Its site names Lyf Wildenberg as co-founder and CEO and Nathan Austin as co-founder. It lists branches in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Denver, San Antonio, Dallas-Fort Worth and Long Beach, and its history page says it merged with Top Box in San Antonio.
It describes its clients as small to medium sized businesses. The home page names professional services firms, nonprofits, financial services groups, construction and architectural teams and multi-location organizations.
What Mytech Partners sells
The main product is a managed IT program the site calls SmartBusiness Suite. The site lists 24x7 infrastructure monitoring, patch management, Microsoft 365 backup, firewall management, DNS filtering, managed detection and response, security awareness training, and quarterly vCIO-level reviews. Help desk hours are given as 7am to 7pm, with 24x7 emergency support.
A co-managed option supports internal IT teams. The site calls it a la carte, with "No Bundles or Preset Tiers", and lists remote control tools, patch management, monitoring and ticketing system support among the choices.
Consulting is the unusual part. Its Cybersecurity Leadership and Advisory Services come in three tiers tied to frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2 Type 2 and CMMC Level 2. It also sells Microsoft 365 governance consulting and describes a governed AI platform for clients.
The work it points to
The managed services page claims over 98% customer satisfaction, less than 15 minutes of monthly IT disruption per employee, and up to 4X fewer IT issues. The site shows short client comments signed with first names, and case studies that include Eaton Metal Products and several nonprofits.
The leadership page says the company was named to the Channel Futures MSP 501 for five consecutive years. We have not spoken to any of those clients.
How it says it charges
It publishes no prices. The site describes all-in support with "no surprise costs" and a flattened monthly spend. It says there is a long-term contract, paired with a No-Risk Partnership Promise. A client that meets its part of the program, including executive participation in an annual strategic review, can exit with no penalty.
What its site does not tell you
On the 12 pages we read, the site gives no prices, no contract length and no response time commitments. Staff size is stated three ways: 150+, 150 and 140. It says it holds Cyber AB Registered Practitioner Organization status, and the leadership page lists individual credentials such as CISSP-ISSAP and MCSE.
The pages do not say how many staff work in Texas. None of that is unusual for a provider's website, and all of it is worth asking about before you sign.

Mytech Partners Services
What those services mean, and what to ask
Ongoing responsibility for your systems for a recurring fee: monitoring, patching, support and planning. Ask exactly which devices, users and sites the fee covers, and what is billed on top.
What an MSP isThe provider works alongside your own IT staff, taking the monitoring, tooling, out-of-hours cover or projects they have no time for. It depends on a written line between what each team owns.
IT outsourcing modelsProtection, detection and response: endpoint software, email filtering, firewalls and someone watching the alerts. Many providers resell a specialist for monitoring, so ask who actually does the work and who calls you at night.
Cybersecurity basicsLicensing, administration, security settings and migration for cloud platforms. The platform keeps the service running; backing up your data in it and securing the accounts is still somebody's job, so ask whose.

Rules that come with those sectors
Naming a sector is not evidence that a provider meets its rules. These are the ones that commonly apply in the United States, and what to ask about each.
- Healthcare
- A provider with access to patient data is a business associate under HIPAA. Ask for a signed business associate agreement before it touches your systems.
- Legal
- Lawyers have a professional duty to make reasonable efforts to protect client information, under ABA Model Rule 1.6 and its state versions. Ask how client files and email are secured.
- Manufacturing
- Manufacturers in the defense supply chain are assessed under CMMC. If that is you, ask whether the provider has taken a client through it.
- Financial services
- Firms covered by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act must keep a written information security program. Ask what the provider contributes to it and what evidence it can give an examiner.

The overview. Written by us from 12 pages of the company's own website, each read in full on Sep 17, 2026. It reports what the site says and what it leaves out. It is not a review, and nothing in it has been verified beyond the five checks.
Note on the record. A multi-office company: its site lists Denver, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Long Beach and Dallas-Fort Worth as well, and BBB files the parent in New Brighton, Minnesota, started 2000. The Texas corporation was chartered in 2024, after Mytech merged with TopBox Solutions, so the San Antonio office is recent under this name even though the site claims more than twenty years in San Antonio. That claim has not been checked.
