Bridgehead IT Overview

Bridgehead IT is a technology services firm with headquarters in San Antonio and a second office in Houston. Its site gives no founding year. It names Wes Bunch as co-founder and Chris Brandvik as founding partner, co-owner and Chief Operations Officer.

The site says it serves clients across Texas, the United States and countries including Canada, Germany and Sweden. The sectors it names include healthcare, manufacturing, finance and banking, legal, nonprofit, automotive, distribution, retail and private equity.

What Bridgehead IT sells

The site is pitched at companies that already have IT staff as much as at those that do not. It describes managed IT services, on-demand experts, IT consulting, disaster recovery planning, and cloud work on AWS and Microsoft platforms, where it acts as a Cloud Service Provider for licensing.

It has three named products. Guardian is a CISO as a service offer. Watchtower is a 24/7 security operations center as a service. Navigator is described as governance for a company's use of AI. A compliance page lists frameworks it says it has worked with, including HIPAA, CMMC, PCI DSS, SOX and GLBA.

Two lines are unusual for this directory. One is IT cost control consulting, an assessment of a client's technology spend. The other is a cabling and low-voltage division that installs network cabling, access control, surveillance and cell signal boosters, and works for general contractors.

The work it points to

The case studies page lists projects by title, most of them anonymous. Named ones include Cavender Interests, where the title claims $91K saved, and Stratus Unlimited.

The cost control page says Flourish Research, a portfolio company of NMS Capital, cut infrastructure systems from 10 to 1 and IT operating costs by 28%. We have not spoken to any of those clients.

How it says it charges

It publishes no prices. It says it works on month-to-month agreements with no long-term contracts and transparent billing. For licensing it offers monthly, quarterly, bi-annual or annual billing. It says its cost control assessment saves clients between 19-59% on average, a claim we have no way to check.

What its site does not tell you

On the 12 pages we read, the site does not say how many people work there or when it was founded. It promises "24/7 guaranteed response from in-house support" and "Guaranteed outcomes" without giving a response time or the terms of either guarantee. Several home page statistics appear as labels with no numbers in the text we saved.

It does name certifications for its cabling staff: WilsonPro Certified Installers and a BICSI RCDD. One testimonial slot on the cabling page still holds placeholder text. All of this is worth asking about before you sign.

What those services mean, and what to ask

Managed ITBridgehead IT lists: Managed IT

Ongoing responsibility for your systems for a recurring fee: monitoring, patching, support and planning. Ask exactly which devices, users and sites the fee covers, and what is billed on top.

What an MSP is
CybersecurityBridgehead IT lists: Cybersecurity and compliance

Protection, detection and response: endpoint software, email filtering, firewalls and someone watching the alerts. Many providers resell a specialist for monitoring, so ask who actually does the work and who calls you at night.

Cloud and Microsoft 365Bridgehead IT lists: Cloud services

Licensing, administration, security settings and migration for cloud platforms. The platform keeps the service running; backing up your data in it and securing the accounts is still somebody's job, so ask whose.

Cabling, cameras and door accessBridgehead IT lists: Cabling and networking, Access control and cameras

The physical side: structured cabling, racks, cameras and door access. Ask which cable category is being installed, whether each run is tested and labeled, and who can view the camera footage.

Rules that come with those sectors

Naming a sector is not evidence that a provider meets its rules. These are the ones that commonly apply in the United States, and what to ask about each.

Finance and banking
Firms covered by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act must keep a written information security program. Ask what the provider contributes to it and what evidence it can give an examiner.
Healthcare
A provider with access to patient data is a business associate under HIPAA. Ask for a signed business associate agreement before it touches your systems.
Legal
Lawyers have a professional duty to make reasonable efforts to protect client information, under ABA Model Rule 1.6 and its state versions. Ask how client files and email are secured.
Manufacturing
Manufacturers in the defense supply chain are assessed under CMMC. If that is you, ask whether the provider has taken a client through it.
Retail
Anyone taking card payments has to meet PCI DSS. Ask which parts of the card environment the provider would manage.

Questions to Ask Bridgehead IT

Chosen from what this record shows and what it does not. The general list for any provider is in the IT buyer's guide.

  • What exactly is included in the monthly fee, and what is billed separately: onboarding, projects, on-site visits?
  • We have no published pricing on record for Bridgehead IT. Ask for the price per user or per device, the minimum, and the contract length, in writing.
  • What are the response and resolution times by priority, and what happens when they are missed?
  • Which certifications and partner tiers does the company hold? We have confirmed none with an issuer yet, so check each one in the issuer's own directory.
  • Can you speak to two clients of your size who have been with the company for more than a year? We have not reached any of its clients.
  • It names Automotive, Distribution, Finance and banking, Healthcare, Legal, Manufacturing, Nonprofit, Private equity and Retail. If your sector is not among them, ask for a client in it.
  • Backup is not among the services it puts first. Ask how your data is backed up, where, and when a restore was last tested.
  • Who holds the administrator credentials and the documentation, and how are they handed over if you leave?

Where This Record Comes From

The overview. Written by us from 12 pages of the company's own website, each read in full on Sep 17, 2026. It reports what the site says and what it leaves out. It is not a review, and nothing in it has been verified beyond the five checks.

Note on the record. No founding year is shown because the sources disagree: Clutch and the San Antonio Chamber say 1999, BBB gives 2012 for Bridgehead IT, Inc., and the only active register row is the LLC chartered 2023-07-23. The link between the Inc. and the LLC has not been documented.

How do I get a quote from Bridgehead IT?
