LayerLogix 1 of 5 checks
Managed IT and cybersecurity for Greater Houston, with its per user rate published on its own site.
LayerLogix Overview
LayerLogix sells managed IT and IT outsourcing for small and mid-sized Houston businesses, with co-managed IT for teams that already have staff. Security is sold as part of the engagement rather than beside it: managed detection and response, dark web monitoring, vulnerability assessment and CMMC work.
Around that sit Microsoft 365 management, Azure and email migrations, Teams Phone, disaster recovery and ransomware recovery. The industries it names are healthcare under HIPAA, law firms, oil and gas, manufacturing, construction, accounting, financial services and nonprofits.

LayerLogix Services
What those services mean, and what to ask
Ongoing responsibility for your systems for a recurring fee: monitoring, patching, support and planning. Ask exactly which devices, users and sites the fee covers, and what is billed on top.
What an MSP isThe provider works alongside your own IT staff, taking the monitoring, tooling, out-of-hours cover or projects they have no time for. It depends on a written line between what each team owns.
IT outsourcing modelsProtection, detection and response: endpoint software, email filtering, firewalls and someone watching the alerts. Many providers resell a specialist for monitoring, so ask who actually does the work and who calls you at night.
Cybersecurity basicsLicensing, administration, security settings and migration for cloud platforms. The platform keeps the service running; backing up your data in it and securing the accounts is still somebody's job, so ask whose.
Google Workspace vs Microsoft 365Help meeting a security standard or a regulator's rules. Ask which frameworks the provider has taken clients through, and what evidence it produces for an auditor.

Rules that come with those sectors
Naming a sector is not evidence that a provider meets its rules. These are the ones that commonly apply in the United States, and what to ask about each.
- Healthcare
- A provider with access to patient data is a business associate under HIPAA. Ask for a signed business associate agreement before it touches your systems.
- Legal
- Lawyers have a professional duty to make reasonable efforts to protect client information, under ABA Model Rule 1.6 and its state versions. Ask how client files and email are secured.
- Manufacturing
- Manufacturers in the defense supply chain are assessed under CMMC. If that is you, ask whether the provider has taken a client through it.
- Accounting
- Tax and accounting firms fall under the FTC Safeguards Rule, and the IRS expects a written information security plan. Ask how the provider supports yours.
- Financial services
- Firms covered by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act must keep a written information security program. Ask what the provider contributes to it and what evidence it can give an examiner.
What LayerLogix Publishes About Its Prices

|---|---|---|

The figure depends on which services are included. |

What we have checked
Five checks, published as they stand. A check we have not done says so.
-
State registration Not done yet
An active business registration with the state, matching the legal name on the listing.
No register row found. The Texas Comptroller active franchise taxpayer file was searched for LayerLogix, Layer Logix and My IT Guy, the earlier name its About page gives, and returned nothing. Two Houston rows resemble the name, LAYER MSP, LLC and NET LAYER 3 LLC, and neither address matches any office the company publishes, so neither was used. The company says it is Texas registered and has been asked for the legal name as filed and the SOS file number. Checked 2026-10-21.

Website and phone Passed
A live website publishing a local telephone number for the city on the listing, rather than a toll free line. Whether anyone has called it is in the note.
The site answers and publishes (713) 571-2390 on its own pages, a geographic Houston number rather than a toll free line. Nobody has called it. Checked 2026-10-21.
Looked at October 21, 2026 -
Physical address Not done yet
An office rather than a mailbox or a coworking membership used as an address.
The company gives 2001 Timberloch Pl, Suite 551R in The Woodlands as its Houston office, and two further suites in Round Rock and Atlanta. Whether any of the three is a staffed office rather than a serviced suite has not been established, and no source outside the company has been read for the address. Checked 2026-10-21.

Certifications Not done yet
Every certification claimed on the listing, confirmed with the body that issues it.
No certification has been confirmed with an issuing body. Nothing claimed on the company site counts until the issuer confirms it.
-
Client references Not done yet
Reviews from clients we reached and spoke to.
No client has been contacted. This check cannot be completed from published material.
LayerLogix is listed without a confirmed registration, which is unusual here and is why this line reads differently from the others. The register was searched and nothing was found under the name it trades as; what was searched is in the first check above. Everything else on this page comes from the company's own site. Questions to Ask LayerLogix
Chosen from what this record shows and what it does not. The general list for any provider is in the IT buyer's guide.
- What exactly is included in the monthly fee, and what is billed separately: onboarding, projects, on-site visits?
- What are the response and resolution times by priority, and what happens when they are missed?
- Which certifications and partner tiers does the company hold? We have confirmed none with an issuer yet, so check each one in the issuer's own directory.
- Can you speak to two clients of your size who have been with the company for more than a year? We have not reached any of its clients.
- It names Healthcare, Legal, Oil and gas, Manufacturing, Construction, Accounting, Financial services and Nonprofit. If your sector is not among them, ask for a client in it.
- It names co-managed IT. If you have internal staff, ask where the line between the two teams sits, in writing.
- Backup is not among the services it puts first. Ask how your data is backed up, where, and when a restore was last tested.
- Who holds the administrator credentials and the documentation, and how are they handed over if you leave?

Note on the record. Asked to be listed through the contact form on 2026-10-21. Listed without a confirmed register row, which the profile states. Its own site is unusually substantial for the market, 637 pages and 519 posts including a monthly vulnerability digest, and it is one of the few here that publishes a rate: 99 to 175 dollars per user per month for flat-rate Houston plans. A separate page quotes 125 to 225 dollars as a general market range and says plainly that it is not a LayerLogix quote, so that figure is not its price. A named specialty is GoDaddy Microsoft 365 defederation, moving tenants off GoDaddy-resold licensing.

How do I get a quote from LayerLogix?

By phone on (713) 571-2390. Its website is layerlogix.com. From the check record: The site answers and publishes (713) 571-2390 on its own pages, a geographic Houston number rather than a toll free line. Nobody has called it. Checked 2026-10-21.
Did LayerLogix pay to be listed here?
No. A listing is free and starts with the registration check. A company pays a flat referral fee only when a quote request is sent to it, the same fee for every company, so it cannot buy a position.
