Centre Technologies 2 of 5 checks
Managed and co-managed IT, cloud and cybersecurity for Houston companies, around the clock.
Centre Technologies Overview
Centre Technologies is a Houston managed IT provider that says it was founded in 2006. Its site names Chris Pace as founder and CEO and lists offices in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Tulsa. It says it serves Texas and Oklahoma businesses, and it describes a strategic partnership with LightBay Capital.
The company says its services are designed for mid-size companies with 50-500 employees, though its home page gives the range as 50-1000. The sectors it names are construction, healthcare, manufacturing, energy, financial and legal.
What Centre Technologies sells
The site groups its services under managed, cloud, cybersecurity, intelligence and consulting. The managed offer is called Secure Managed Services, sold fully managed or co-managed alongside a client's own IT staff, with support it describes as 24x7.
Cloud services cover Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, private cloud hosting, virtual desktops, migrations, and backup and disaster recovery. The security list includes managed detection and response, vulnerability scanning, employee security awareness training, compliance work and CMMC consulting.
Less usual for an MSP is a business applications practice: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power BI and Copilot consulting. The consulting menu also lists mergers and acquisitions work, IT staffing and datacenter modernization.
The work it points to
The site states 1,150 + customers, 350 + local employees and 250 + certified IT consultants. Its home page claims 93,816 + customer problems solved in the last 90 days, within 2 hours on average. Another page gives a customer satisfaction rating of 96 %+.
Its testimonials page carries quotes attributed by job title and type of firm, not by name. One unnamed director of information technology credits Centre with annual savings of more than $400k. Featured success stories cover construction, energy, manufacturing and ERP projects. We have not spoken to any of those clients.
How it says it charges
It publishes no prices. Its security FAQ says subscriptions are "based on the number of assets or devices monitored and protected" and that small businesses typically spend a couple thousand dollars per month on cybersecurity. Its cloud FAQ puts cloud costs between a few hundred and a few thousand dollars per month.
What its site does not tell you
On the 12 pages we read, the site gives no contract terms and no committed response times beyond the average it reports. It states that it is SOC 2 Type II compliant and HIPAA-compliant, and says it holds "a multitude of awards, accreditations, and certifications", but those pages name no others.
The site calls the company the #1 IT services company for Texas and Oklahoma without citing a source. None of this is unusual, and all of it is worth asking about before you sign.

Centre Technologies Services
What those services mean, and what to ask
Ongoing responsibility for your systems for a recurring fee: monitoring, patching, support and planning. Ask exactly which devices, users and sites the fee covers, and what is billed on top.
What an MSP isThe provider works alongside your own IT staff, taking the monitoring, tooling, out-of-hours cover or projects they have no time for. It depends on a written line between what each team owns.
IT outsourcing modelsLicensing, administration, security settings and migration for cloud platforms. The platform keeps the service running; backing up your data in it and securing the accounts is still somebody's job, so ask whose.
Google Workspace vs Microsoft 365Protection, detection and response: endpoint software, email filtering, firewalls and someone watching the alerts. Many providers resell a specialist for monitoring, so ask who actually does the work and who calls you at night.
Cybersecurity basicsA named person who plans budgets, replacements and projects with you. Ask how often you meet and what the written roadmap contains.

Rules that come with those sectors
Naming a sector is not evidence that a provider meets its rules. These are the ones that commonly apply in the United States, and what to ask about each.
- Healthcare
- A provider with access to patient data is a business associate under HIPAA. Ask for a signed business associate agreement before it touches your systems.
- Manufacturing
- Manufacturers in the defense supply chain are assessed under CMMC. If that is you, ask whether the provider has taken a client through it.
- Financial services
- Firms covered by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act must keep a written information security program. Ask what the provider contributes to it and what evidence it can give an examiner.

Questions to Ask Centre Technologies
Chosen from what this record shows and what it does not. The general list for any provider is in the IT buyer's guide.
- What exactly is included in the monthly fee, and what is billed separately: onboarding, projects, on-site visits?
- We have no published pricing on record for Centre Technologies. Ask for the price per user or per device, the minimum, and the contract length, in writing.
- What are the response and resolution times by priority, and what happens when they are missed?
- Which certifications and partner tiers does the company hold? We have confirmed none with an issuer yet, so check each one in the issuer's own directory.

- It names Construction, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Energy and Financial services. If your sector is not among them, ask for a client in it.

The overview. Written by us from 12 pages of the company's own website, each read in full on Sep 17, 2026. It reports what the site says and what it leaves out. It is not a review, and nothing in it has been verified beyond the five checks.
Note on the record. Clutch gives a 2005 founding; the Texas charter is 2009-05-05 and the site states no year, so the charter year is shown.

No. A listing is free and starts with the registration check. A company pays a flat referral fee only when a quote request is sent to it, the same fee for every company, so it cannot buy a position.
