ERGOS Overview

Founded1997

ERGOS, which its site also calls ERGOS Technology Partners, is a managed IT services company with headquarters in Houston. It describes itself as an international provider for businesses of all sizes.

One page says it has 13 offices across the United States, from California to New Jersey. Another says 14+ physical locations across the US and UK.

The pages we read give no founding year and name no executives. The sectors it says it serves include healthcare, legal, financial services, manufacturing, construction, nonprofit, government, oil and gas, retail, real estate and professional services. Its pages also address legal cannabis and renewable energy businesses.

What ERGOS sells

The home page groups services into five areas: managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, IT compliance and low voltage contracting. Managed IT covers help desk support, monitoring, data recovery, IT project management and virtual CIO consulting. It also sells co-managed IT alongside a client's own staff.

The security list is long. It includes a managed SOC, SIEM, EDR, virtual CISO services, penetration testing, digital forensics and cyber insurance readiness. Compliance work names SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST, CMMC, PCI DSS, GDPR and ISO 27001. Cloud work covers Office 365, Azure, AWS and Google Cloud.

The low voltage line is unusual for an MSP. It lists structured cabling in copper and fiber, CCTV and access control, conference room AV, paging systems and Wi-Fi design.

The work it points to

The site calls ERGOS an "Award-winning Managed Services Provider", but the pages we read name no award. Its reviews page shows Google reviews displayed through Trustindex, with a count of 21 reviews. We found no case studies and no named business clients. We have not spoken to any of those clients.

How it says it charges

ERGOS describes a flat-fee monthly rate based on environment size and services, under "predictable monthly agreements rather than unpredictable hourly billing". It says consultations are complimentary. It publishes no prices of its own.

Its cloud FAQ does give figures, but for cloud spending in general. It says small businesses could be looking at $500 to $2,000 each month and bigger companies $5,000 to $50,000 or more. Those are estimates of cloud bills, not ERGOS fees.

What its site does not tell you

On the 11 pages we read, response is covered. The site says calls reach a live technician within three minutes on average, and that it guarantees a one-hour response to urgent support requests. It does not define urgent or say what follows a miss.

The site gives no prices, no contract terms and no headcount. It mentions certified analysts without naming a certification, and its two office counts do not match. These are things to ask about before you sign.

What those services mean, and what to ask

Managed ITERGOS lists: Managed IT

Ongoing responsibility for your systems for a recurring fee: monitoring, patching, support and planning. Ask exactly which devices, users and sites the fee covers, and what is billed on top.

What an MSP is
CybersecurityERGOS lists: Cybersecurity

Protection, detection and response: endpoint software, email filtering, firewalls and someone watching the alerts. Many providers resell a specialist for monitoring, so ask who actually does the work and who calls you at night.

Cloud and Microsoft 365ERGOS lists: Cloud services

Licensing, administration, security settings and migration for cloud platforms. The platform keeps the service running; backing up your data in it and securing the accounts is still somebody's job, so ask whose.

ComplianceERGOS lists: IT compliance

Help meeting a security standard or a regulator's rules. Ask which frameworks the provider has taken clients through, and what evidence it produces for an auditor.

Rules that come with those sectors

Naming a sector is not evidence that a provider meets its rules. These are the ones that commonly apply in the United States, and what to ask about each.

Accounting
Tax and accounting firms fall under the FTC Safeguards Rule, and the IRS expects a written information security plan. Ask how the provider supports yours.
Legal
Lawyers have a professional duty to make reasonable efforts to protect client information, under ABA Model Rule 1.6 and its state versions. Ask how client files and email are secured.
Healthcare
A provider with access to patient data is a business associate under HIPAA. Ask for a signed business associate agreement before it touches your systems.
Manufacturing
Manufacturers in the defense supply chain are assessed under CMMC. If that is you, ask whether the provider has taken a client through it.
Retail
Anyone taking card payments has to meet PCI DSS. Ask which parts of the card environment the provider would manage.

Questions to Ask ERGOS

Chosen from what this record shows and what it does not. The general list for any provider is in the IT buyer's guide.

  • What exactly is included in the monthly fee, and what is billed separately: onboarding, projects, on-site visits?
  • What are the response and resolution times by priority, and what happens when they are missed?
  • Which certifications and partner tiers does the company hold? We have confirmed none with an issuer yet, so check each one in the issuer's own directory.
  • Can you speak to two clients of your size who have been with the company for more than a year? We have not reached any of its clients.
  • It names Accounting, Construction, Legal, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Oil and gas, Nonprofit, Real estate and Retail. If your sector is not among them, ask for a client in it.
  • Backup is not among the services it puts first. Ask how your data is backed up, where, and when a restore was last tested.
  • Who holds the administrator credentials and the documentation, and how are they handed over if you leave?

Where This Record Comes From

The overview. Written by us from 11 pages of the company's own website, each read in full on Sep 17, 2026. It reports what the site says and what it leaves out. It is not a review, and nothing in it has been verified beyond the five checks.

Note on the record. BBB, the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce and the charter agree on 1997. The site names no founding year. Its site also publishes a Midland office at 201 E Michigan Ave, which is why it is linked to Midland.
