Richline IT Solutions is an IT support and consulting firm headquartered in Corpus Christi. Its site also uses the name Richline Technical Services, or RTS, and says the firm was founded in 2001 and works across South Texas. Blog posts are signed by Josh Richline. The site is small and written in a joking, first-person voice. Its phone menu, it says, gives one option for Richline and another for Pyramid Communications, a name it does not explain further.
What Richline IT Solutions sells
The site lists five services. The first is a business helpdesk, which it calls its primary line of business for the past 20-something years, staffed from Level 1 technicians up to network engineers. It says this can replace an in-house IT person or supplement one.
Managed services cover workstations, servers and network devices, with automated patching, virus protection, basic DNS filtering and spam filtering for email. Backup is described as managed copies kept both onsite and offsite, with a separate pitch for backing up Office 365 data.
The security page lists assessments and audits, EDR watched by a 24x7 security operations center, staff awareness training with test phishing emails, and SIEM monitoring. The company also acts as what it calls a "Master Agent" for cloud providers, placing clients with hosted VoIP, hosted servers and desktops, internet access or SDWAN suppliers.
How it says it charges
The service pages say nothing about billing. A blog post from October 31, 2023 describes two client tiers. Premier clients subscribe to Premier Support, which it says includes unlimited remote support. R-Essential clients have the company's tools but pay for support at an hourly rate.
The same post offered a 1 month free trial of awareness training, plus free security assessments and dark web lookups. The home page offers a free network evaluation. It publishes no prices.
What its site does not tell you
On the 7 pages we read, the site gives no prices, no hourly rate, no contract terms and no count of staff. It says its consultants hold industry certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix and others, without naming the certifications. It has no testimonials or named clients.
The one response time stated is for after-hours emergencies: leave a voicemail and a technician will call back "within about an hour". None of this is unusual for a small provider's website, and all of it is worth asking about before you sign.
