Gravity Systems 2 of 5 checks
Managed and co-managed IT, security and cloud, from Austin with offices in Houston and Scottsdale.
Gravity Systems Overview
Gravity Systems is an Austin managed IT provider that says it has been supporting businesses since 1997. Its about page names Kent Morris as founder and describes him as a consultant with 31 years of experience. The site says it serves businesses across Texas and the USA, and it has a page for law firms.
What Gravity Systems sells
The home page lists IT management, support, helpdesk, network support, outsourced IT, threat detection, and backup and recovery. Support is organized in what the company calls PODs, dedicated teams that learn a client's systems. The about page also describes scheduled onsite visits, daily, weekly or monthly.
Separate pages cover Microsoft 365 migrations, licensing and backup, AWS migration and ongoing management, and email security with filtering, encryption and staff awareness training. The law firm page adds project management, network cabling and staff augmentation.
One service is less usual. The helpdesk page describes a 24/7 outsourced helpdesk that can answer a client's own customers, and says its training produces "English-fluent" support.
The work it points to
The case studies page lists short summaries with downloads. Named clients include Garden Wheel Enterprises, which does business as VeriTrust Advisor Group, Bailey Solutions in Austin, and The James Street Group. Another summary describes a national financial services firm that had 30 days to onboard 100+ employees.
The home page carries client testimonials. Service pages repeat a 99.6% client satisfaction rating and 350+ years of combined IT experience, and the email security page says its filtering blocks 99% of malicious emails. We have no way to check those figures. We have not spoken to any of those clients.
How it says it charges
The law firm page says contracts are month-to-month with no long-term lock-ins, and that hardware and software are sourced with no admin fees. The site menu links to a pricing page, but it was not among the pages we saved, and the pages we did save give no prices.
What its site does not tell you
On the 11 pages we read, the site does state a response figure: the about page gives a 19.4-second average response time, and the Microsoft 365 page says the average is "seconds, not minutes". It does not say what is being measured. It mentions certified experts without naming a certification.
The about page profiles several team members but gives no headcount, and the terms of the month-to-month contracts are not spelled out. None of that is unusual for a small provider's website, and all of it is worth asking about before you sign.

Gravity Systems Services
What those services mean, and what to ask
Ongoing responsibility for your systems for a recurring fee: monitoring, patching, support and planning. Ask exactly which devices, users and sites the fee covers, and what is billed on top.
What an MSP isThe provider works alongside your own IT staff, taking the monitoring, tooling, out-of-hours cover or projects they have no time for. It depends on a written line between what each team owns.
IT outsourcing modelsProtection, detection and response: endpoint software, email filtering, firewalls and someone watching the alerts. Many providers resell a specialist for monitoring, so ask who actually does the work and who calls you at night.
Cybersecurity basicsCopies of your data kept where the original's problems cannot reach, and a plan for bringing systems back. Ask how often a restore is tested and how long a full recovery takes.
Backup and disaster recoveryLicensing, administration, security settings and migration for cloud platforms. The platform keeps the service running; backing up your data in it and securing the accounts is still somebody's job, so ask whose.
Google Workspace vs Microsoft 365Hosted or on-premises telephony carried over your data network. Voice is the first thing to suffer on a congested link, so ask how calls are prioritized.
What QoS isThe services, industries and description above are what Gravity Systems publishes about itself. They were read from its own website on September 8, 2026 and transcribed rather than verified. What we checked is further down.

Industries
Rules that come with those sectors
Naming a sector is not evidence that a provider meets its rules. These are the ones that commonly apply in the United States, and what to ask about each.
- Healthcare
- A provider with access to patient data is a business associate under HIPAA. Ask for a signed business associate agreement before it touches your systems.
- Financial services
- Firms covered by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act must keep a written information security program. Ask what the provider contributes to it and what evidence it can give an examiner.
- Education
- Student records are protected by FERPA. Ask how access to them is limited and logged.
- Manufacturing
- Manufacturers in the defense supply chain are assessed under CMMC. If that is you, ask whether the provider has taken a client through it.
- Legal
- Lawyers have a professional duty to make reasonable efforts to protect client information, under ABA Model Rule 1.6 and its state versions. Ask how client files and email are secured.
- Accounting
- Tax and accounting firms fall under the FTC Safeguards Rule, and the IRS expects a written information security plan. Ask how the provider supports yours.
- Retail
- Anyone taking card payments has to meet PCI DSS. Ask which parts of the card environment the provider would manage.
- Government
- Public bodies that handle criminal justice information fall under the FBI CJIS Security Policy. Ask whether the provider's staff have been through the required screening.

Questions to Ask Gravity Systems
Chosen from what this record shows and what it does not. The general list for any provider is in the IT buyer's guide.

- We have no published pricing on record for Gravity Systems. Ask for the price per user or per device, the minimum, and the contract length, in writing.
- What are the response and resolution times by priority, and what happens when they are missed?
- Which certifications and partner tiers does the company hold? We have confirmed none with an issuer yet, so check each one in the issuer's own directory.

- It names Healthcare, Financial services, Education, Manufacturing, Legal, Accounting, Retail, Government, Construction, Non-profit, Real estate and Transportation and logistics. If your sector is not among them, ask for a client in it.

The overview. Written by us from 11 pages of the company's own website, each read in full on Sep 17, 2026. It reports what the site says and what it leaves out. It is not a review, and nothing in it has been verified beyond the five checks.
Note on the record. The domain that was on file is not this company any more, which is the single most useful thing this pass found. Everything else lines up: an Austin charter from 2001, an Austin street address on the live site, and a local number. The founding year the site claims and the charter date still disagree by four years.
