CTSI Overview

Founded1985

CTSI, short for Computer Transition Services, is a managed IT provider headquartered in Lubbock. Its site gives no founding year, only "over three decades of experience". It names Andrew Fleming as President, Michael Vaught as Chief Revenue Officer and Brian Alley as Vice President of Services.

The company says it serves businesses throughout Texas and Eastern New Mexico. Its contact page lists offices in Lubbock, Amarillo, Midland, Plano and Frisco. The testimonials on its home page are labeled by sector: healthcare, financial, manufacturing, education and government.

What CTSI sells

The site lists fully managed IT with 24/7 monitoring, and says it will also work alongside an in-house IT team. Its security service is described as real-time and fully managed, with a Security Operations Center watching client networks and training for employees.

Other listed services are data backup and disaster recovery with local and off-site copies, HIPAA compliance solutions with staff training and testing, cloud computing, virtualization, server management, network support, and business communication tools such as phones and video conferencing. It also sends technicians for on-site computer repair and workstation setup.

The service pages are short. Most give a few sentences on why a service matters and little on what is included.

The work it points to

CTSI shows client quotes without names or company names. One, labeled manufacturing, says the client has trusted CTSI for over a decade. Another, labeled education, praises its response to tickets for a school district. The about page has an awards heading, but no award is named in the text we read. We have not spoken to any of those clients.

How it says it charges

It publishes no prices. The site mentions custom IT service plans and a monthly service agreement, without saying how either is priced. The one figure on the site is a referral offer of $250 off the next month's service plus a $100 gift card.

It also cites a general claim that businesses using an MSP save about 40% per year, which is not a statement about its own fees.

What its site does not tell you

On the 12 pages we read, the site states no response times, names no certifications or vendor partners, and does not say how many people work there. Contract terms are not described. None of that is unusual, and all of it is worth asking about before you sign.

What those services mean, and what to ask

Managed ITCTSI lists: Managed IT

Ongoing responsibility for your systems for a recurring fee: monitoring, patching, support and planning. Ask exactly which devices, users and sites the fee covers, and what is billed on top.

What an MSP is
CybersecurityCTSI lists: Cybersecurity

Protection, detection and response: endpoint software, email filtering, firewalls and someone watching the alerts. Many providers resell a specialist for monitoring, so ask who actually does the work and who calls you at night.

Cybersecurity basics
ComplianceCTSI lists: HIPAA compliance

Help meeting a security standard or a regulator's rules. Ask which frameworks the provider has taken clients through, and what evidence it produces for an auditor.

Security frameworks
Backup and disaster recoveryCTSI lists: Backup and disaster recovery

Copies of your data kept where the original's problems cannot reach, and a plan for bringing systems back. Ask how often a restore is tested and how long a full recovery takes.

Switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi and the internet connection: design, installation and upkeep. Ask who holds the administrator passwords to your own equipment.

  • What are the response and resolution times by priority, and what happens when they are missed?
  • Which certifications and partner tiers does the company hold? We have confirmed none with an issuer yet, so check each one in the issuer's own directory.
  • Can you speak to two clients of your size who have been with the company for more than a year? We have not reached any of its clients.
  • Who holds the administrator credentials and the documentation, and how are they handed over if you leave?

Where This Record Comes From

The overview. Written by us from 12 pages of the company's own website, each read in full on Sep 17, 2026. It reports what the site says and what it leaves out. It is not a review, and nothing in it has been verified beyond the five checks.

Note on the record. BBB gives a 1985 start and a 1988 incorporation for Computer Transition Services, Inc., and Clutch and DesignRush give 1985; the active register entity is an LLC chartered in 2023. New Charter Technologies, a national IT group, publishes a Lubbock page for Computer Transition Services at the same address. Its site also publishes a Midland office at 3300 N A St, Building 6, Suite 130, which is why it is linked to Midland. It also publishes an Amarillo office at 817 S Polk St, Suite 101.

No. A listing is free and starts with the registration check. A company pays a flat referral fee only when a quote request is sent to it, the same fee for every company, so it cannot buy a position.
