Gage Technologies Overview

Gage Technologies is a privately owned firm with headquarters in Waco, Texas, and a second office in Vancouver, WA that its contact page lists as by appointment only. Its site says it has worked with organizations nationwide for over 20 years, and it names Kris McGreevey as CEO and Kevin Frazier as chief revenue officer.

It describes its clients as mid-market and enterprise organizations nationwide. Its industries page lists healthcare, financial services, retail, higher education, government, hospitality and transportation.

What Gage Technologies sells

Gage is closer to a communications and network integrator than a typical small business MSP. The site lists seven services: unified communications, customer experience, network infrastructure, cyber security, managed services and support, artificial intelligence, and carrier services.

Phone and contact center work leads. The site says Gage has partnered with Avaya for the past 21 years and also works with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, RingCentral, Genesys, NICE and Five9. It says it specializes in moving Avaya systems to the cloud and replacing analog lines as carriers retire copper.

Networks are built on Aruba, Cisco and Juniper, and security on CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet. The managed service covers 24/7 monitoring, infrastructure and cloud management, help desk, disaster recovery and staff augmentation. The carrier service audits telecom bills and negotiates contracts. The company says it is vendor-agnostic, "not a reseller with a quota".

The work it points to

The home page claims 500+ clients nationwide and 200+ technology partners. It describes four engagements without naming the clients: a six-figure CrowdStrike deployment for a national restaurant chain, telecom for a regional medical center and its clinics, cloud migration for a city and county government, and a large financial institution.

It says the financial institution runs voice, contact center, network and security under one Gage agreement. We have not spoken to any of those clients.

How it says it charges

It publishes no prices. The managed services page promises predictable monthly costs and "service levels you can hold someone to", and the about page mentions flexible retainer services. The security page says the restaurant chain project was spread over three years with quarterly payment terms.

What its site does not tell you

On the 12 pages we read, the site gives no prices, response times, contract terms or headcount. It calls its engineers certified without naming a certification, and the service levels it mentions are not spelled out. Monitoring and support are described as 24/7.

None of that is unusual for a provider's website, and all of it is worth asking about before you sign.

What those services mean, and what to ask

Managed ITGage Technologies lists: Managed services

Ongoing responsibility for your systems for a recurring fee: monitoring, patching, support and planning. Ask exactly which devices, users and sites the fee covers, and what is billed on top.

What an MSP is
VoIP and phone systemsGage Technologies lists: Unified communications

Hosted or on-premises telephony carried over your data network. Voice is the first thing to suffer on a congested link, so ask how calls are prioritized.

What QoS is
NetworkingGage Technologies lists: Network infrastructure, Carrier services

Switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi and the internet connection: design, installation and upkeep. Ask who holds the administrator passwords to your own equipment.

Networking basics
CybersecurityGage Technologies lists: Cybersecurity

Protection, detection and response: endpoint software, email filtering, firewalls and someone watching the alerts. Many providers resell a specialist for monitoring, so ask who actually does the work and who calls you at night.

Rules that come with those sectors

Naming a sector is not evidence that a provider meets its rules. These are the ones that commonly apply in the United States, and what to ask about each.

Healthcare
A provider with access to patient data is a business associate under HIPAA. Ask for a signed business associate agreement before it touches your systems.
Government
Public bodies that handle criminal justice information fall under the FBI CJIS Security Policy. Ask whether the provider's staff have been through the required screening.
Financial services
Firms covered by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act must keep a written information security program. Ask what the provider contributes to it and what evidence it can give an examiner.
Hospitality
Anyone taking card payments has to meet PCI DSS. Ask which parts of the card environment the provider would manage.

Questions to Ask Gage Technologies

Chosen from what this record shows and what it does not. The general list for any provider is in the IT buyer's guide.

  • What exactly is included in the monthly fee, and what is billed separately: onboarding, projects, on-site visits?
  • We have no published pricing on record for Gage Technologies. Ask for the price per user or per device, the minimum, and the contract length, in writing.
  • What are the response and resolution times by priority, and what happens when they are missed?
  • Which certifications and partner tiers does the company hold? We have confirmed none with an issuer yet, so check each one in the issuer's own directory.
  • Can you speak to two clients of your size who have been with the company for more than a year? We have not reached any of its clients.
  • It names Healthcare, Government, Financial services and Hospitality. If your sector is not among them, ask for a client in it.
  • Backup is not among the services it puts first. Ask how your data is backed up, where, and when a restore was last tested.
  • Who holds the administrator credentials and the documentation, and how are they handed over if you leave?

Where This Record Comes From

The overview. Written by us from 12 pages of the company's own website, each read in full on Sep 17, 2026. It reports what the site says and what it leaves out. It is not a review, and nothing in it has been verified beyond the five checks.

Note on the record. No founding year is shown because the sources disagree: BBB and DesignRush give a 2003 start, the company site claims more than 20 years without a year, and the corporation was chartered in 2022. BBB files the company under the name Gage Telecom, which has no register row of its own.
